King Lau

King Lau started life in the infamous Kowloon Walled City of Hong Kong. He immigrated with his family to Edmonton, Alberta Canada at an early age. His father was a steel worker while his mother sewed in a garment factory. In University, while working towards a goal of one day becoming a Religious Studies Professor he decided on another career path. King soon found himself training to become a Professional Wrestler in the legendary "Dungeon" of the Hart family in Calgary, Alberta. His debut match was at Stampede Wrestling founder, and wrestling icon Stu Hart's 80th Birthday event. Along with his time as a Pro Wrestler he became involved in local indie films and other production projects which gave him more outlets to perform. As quite possibly the first full ethnic Chinese Professional Wrestler, King was featured in a newspaper article in Hong Kong. The article caught the attention of a Chinese film company. He was quickly cast alongside martial arts master and Hong Kong screen legend, Gordon Liu and popular Hong Kong actress, Flora Chan in a drama series. The experience affirmed his inclination to be an Actor. King is also a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturist.
