Jody Mullins was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to mother Joann Darnell Mullins, a cook, and father Seaborn Jackson Mullins, a 10 year-veteran of the U.S. Navy (Korean War). Jody's passion for acting was realized very early, but his creative endeavor was put on hold while he attended classes at the University Of Arkansas (LR), then again while holding various jobs in the technology sector. Longing for a change, he moved to New York City to study acting. During an impromptu dinner outing with friends from "Up To Date Theatricals", he was introduced to noted Broadway actress, Sybil Lines, who invited him to join her private drama program at Sybilline Productions. Sybil is the artistic director of Sybilline
Productions, she has taught at London's Central School of Drama, and New York City at Circle in the Square. Jody's training was comprised of monologues from Shakespeare, scene study, and a variety of styles from other eras. He went on to study under the direction of Sybil Lines for 2 years in NYC, then moved to New Orleans to pursue acting full time. Shortly after arriving in New Orleans, he was invited to meet Director Matt Reeves who offered him the opportunity to photo double for Gary Oldman in the film "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes". Jody made his network television debut in a co-star role on episode 10 of "Star-Crossed", a CW episodic that ran for one season. He has appeared in numerous commercials. In 2015 he was cast in Antoine Fuqua's Feature (remake) "The Magnificent Seven" starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke.
