Dave Isaac Santos Abuel is a renowned VFX Compositor who has worked on several notable films throughout his career. He was born in New Jersey but spent most of his life in Florida, where he developed a passion for computer animation.
After completing his high school education, Dave went to Fullsail University in Florida to pursue his dreams of becoming a computer animator.
After graduation, Dave moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film industry. He started out as a VFX Generalist and worked on various projects before finding his stride in VFX Compositing. Over the years, he worked on several high-profile films such as "X-Men: The Last Stand," "Evan Almighty," "Alice in Wonderland," "Green Lantern," "Pacific Rim," and the Academy Award-winning "Life of Pi."
Despite his successful career in LA, Dave decided to move with his family to Atlanta, seeking a better work-life balance. He wanted to spend more time with his family and continue working in the film industry. Currently, he works for Crafty Apes as a Sr. VFX Compositor, working on Atlanta-based films and episodics.
Dave's skills and contributions to the film industry have earned him a reputation as a highly skilled and creative VFX Compositor. He has worked on some of the most memorable films in recent times and continues to push the boundaries of what is possible with VFX.
