Mark Todd Osborne (aka MTO) is a Los Angeles based Award Winning Senior Colorist for Features, Television Episodic, Commercials, Music Videos and Branded Content. Noteworthy work: 'The Act' (Hulu), 'Trafficked' (Hulu) and Feature Films "Scrambled" (Lionsgate), 'Bandit' (Quiver), 'It Follows' (Radius) 'Lowriders' (Blumhouse),'The Reckoning' (Shudder) and 'Need for Speed' (Disney/Dreamworks), plus commercial campaigns for Motorola, DirectTV, Lexus, Toyota, P & G, Wienerschnitzel, LG, Coca-Cola, Audi, BMW, Target, & XBOX. Mark's meticulous eye and strong visual sense of taste and style make him a stand out Color Artist. MTO is known as a "Premium" Colorist who believes a Colorist is an Extension of Cinematography and that technology and creativity go hand in hand. He freelances for several Post Facilities in the Los Angeles area and works out of his own Color Studio, MTO Color inc., delivering top-shelf color to many independent feature films that have gone on to win accolades at various film festivals. MTO Color provides scalable grading & post finishing services for television & commercial branded content.
MTO spent nearly 12 years as a Senior Colorist at Company 3, Santa Monica, working with top Directors and Cinematographers coloring Spots &, Music Videos, before moving on to Digital Intermediates & Feature Film Mastering. He became the Lead HD Dailies Colorist for noted filmmakers Gore Verbinski, Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer Films, as well as performing Final Color for Features Films such as the Academy Award Nominated "Capote" and "Sunshine Cleaning", to name a few.
In 2011, Mark was hired as Supervising Colorist at CAMERON - PACE Group, coloring several 3D projects, including "Cirque du Soleil: World's Away" for visionary co-founder Vince Pace and served as a Stereo Correction Specialist on Martin Scorsese's Academy-Award Winning "Hugo". In 2012, Mark performed color for James Cameron's 3D "Deep Sea Challenge" for the Cannes Film Festival & IBC, as well as coloring the Emmy Award Winning shows "Children's Hospital" and "Dirty Work". In 2020, Mark won "Best Colorist" at the Queen Palm International Film Festival for his color work on the horror thriller "The Stairs".
