Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. Received a BFA in Film Video at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Moved to NYC in 2004 and began working in Television production. In 2005, Isaac transitioned to feature films and narrative pilots, working as either an Office PA or Set PA. In 2006, he landed his first post-production job as an overnight Assistant Editor on a cable broadcast TV show. By 2008, Isaac had honed his editing skills by churning out countless EPKs, sizzle reels, music videos, corporate videos, and web-series. Isaac spent the next 5 years working as a freelance editor on various broadcast television shows for Discovery, National Geographic, PBS, History, etc. During that same time, he was also editing his own short films as well as a few feature length documentaries.
Isaac began working at TED in January 2013 as a Video Editor, and in a short amount of time became the Lead Editor, as well as a Producer within the company. This position has given him the opportunity to edit thousands of TED talks. Isaac continues to contribute to the look and feel of TED talks both in production and in post. He is also responsible for directing, producing, and editing short films for the company and for occasionally directing cameras on mid-size TED events and conferences.
