Mia Moretti

Mia Moretti is a DJ, music producer, and songwriter Mia Moretti based in Los Angeles. Starting her career playing vinyl records on Los Angeles' legendary Sunset Strip, Moretti developed a keen sonic curiosity. Her career trajectory quickly propelled after moving to New York's Lower East Side at the forefront of a DJ revolution, called upon by the fashion industry, she composed runway shows and soundscapes for up-and-coming New York designers drawn to her bold choices and compelling storytelling. Her impeccable ear led her to perform at exclusive events within the halls of the Louvre and secure DJ residencies along the Las Vegas strip. Her debut EP, Tambor (December, 2023), samples Bullerengue artists from Colombia including Petrona Martinez and Toto La Momposina. Bullerengue music is traditionally matrilineality passed through the community. In keeping with this tradition, Moretti, enlisted the granddaughter's of Toto La Momposina to re-record Colombian standard, Rosa.
