- Actor
Entertainer and actor Yuji Ayabe was born in Ibaraki prefecture, Japan. In 1999, he entered "NSC: New Star Creation", the entertainer school managed by one of the largest entertainment agency "Yoshimoto Kogyo" and made his debut in 2000.
In 2003, he formed a comedic duo "Peace" with Naoki Matayoshi. It didn't take so long until they became the most popular comedic duo in the theater scene in Japan, and their number of TV appearances drastically increased in 2008. Peace won the second place in "KOC: King of Conte," Japan's premier skit championship in 2010, and in the same year they won the fourth place in "M1 Grand Prix," the top national championship for traditional Japanese comedy style called "Manzai". This solidified Ayabe's status as a popular TV entertainer. He made his appearance through 568 TV shows during the year of 2011.
Ayabe started his career as an actor when he appeared as one of the main cast members of the movie "Drop" in 2009. The movie became a big hit with 2 billion Japanese yen at the box office. After he made his appearance through various films and TV series, he spread his name as an actor once again as he played the main character roll for "Kamen Rider" series in 2014. In 2015, Ayabe played a leading role in the daytime drama (airing to national audience every weekday) "Wakaretara Sukinahito".
After his entertainment career of 20 years in Japan, Ayabe moved to New York in 2017 then to Los Angeles in 2022, where he is striving to become a comedy actor in the United States.
