having an outstanding record of 67 and 13 losses. He was a runner up in
the CYO boxing tournament Chicago, quarter finalist in the National
Pals, runner up in the Golden Gloves, silver medalist in the Georgia
State Games in 1995, and lost in the 1996 Olympic preliminaries for the
trials. 'When the Bell Rings' started filming April 1st, 2011 with Dino
weighing 250 pounds. The road wasn't easy, he went through a few
coaches who didn't take him seriously because of his size and lengthy
layoff. Phillip Bobo introduced Dino Wells to Bob Edwards of Sweet
Science Boxing Gym. This is where The Lethal Warrior's rebirth begins
on a three year journey, from LA to New Orleans, it's more than just a
boxing documentary, it's a human story with an award winning epilogue.
Since filming When the Bell Rings, Dino has worked on his acting and
writing skills. He's been in the entertainment business for a little
over 15 years as featured background, production assistant and other
production positions honing his skills to be a director one day.
