Martina Haubrich

Martina Haubrich studied Theater- and Film, English Literature and later North American Studies, first at the University of Cologne, later at the Free University Berlin where she graduated M.A. in 1999.
During her University years, she worked as assistant director, author and director for Radio Features at Sender Freies Berlin (today RBB)
and also in different editorial departments for several German Broadcasters such as VOX, SFB and Arte.
In 2003 she started to work for LOOKS Film as Producer of International Co-productions and set up the Berlin office in 2004. From 2005 until 2007 MBA studies at the Berlin School of Economics parallel to her work as producer for LOOKS. From 2010 until 2016 she was Co-CEO of LOOKS Filmproduktionen in Berlin where she produced and co-produced FIlms like Michel Petrucciani by Michael Radford, Age of Uprising by Arnaud des Pallières and From Caligari to Hitler and Hitler's Hollywood by Rüdiger Suchsland, Mademoiselle Paradis by Barbara Albert which all premiered at major international Filmfestivals, among them Cannes, Venice, TIFF and Telluride.
In January 2017 she set up the new company CALA Filmproduktion in Berlin.
CALA Filmproduktion Berlin produces fiction and documentary films for cinema and series for the international market. Producer and managing partner Martina Haubrich is supported by her experienced partners from different fields of the industry: Alexandre Geisselmann and Reno Koppe as distributors, writers and directors Angelina Maccarone and Barbara Albert as well as Austrian producer Michael Kitzberger.
