Dave Molyneux is one of the most prolific and determined sidecar racers in history. In a racing career has spanned almost four decades, he has dominated one of the most demanding road races in the world, with an exceptional tally of 17 Isle of Man TT wins, making him the most successful sidecar competitor in the history of the event. Though he primarily considers himself a racer, he is also a highly skilled engineer; designing and building his own bikes from scratch.
As one of the most famous personalities of the sport, he is often dubbed a living legend; a corner of the TT course has been named in his honor and his image is engraved on the back of the Isle of Man's 50 pence piece. Notoriously publicity-shy however, Molyneux's need to achieve absolute concentration before a race has earned him the nickname 'Moody Moly', with race commentators and journalists famously avoiding him on the start line.
Molyneux choreographed and performed the motorcycle stunts for 'Matthew Barney''s art film Cremaster 4 (1995) and received top billing for his role in the docu-reality movie 3 Wheeling (2017), which gives fans a rare look behind the curtain during a racing period.
