Suzie Bohannon grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is an alumna of the Albuquerque Academy. While in high school, she participated in many theater productions as well as forensics - directing two plays and winning the 1995 National Forensic League Championship in Dramatic Interp. For her senior project, Bohannon focused on play writing with her mentor, Digby Wolfe.
As a Regent Scholar, Bohannon graduated Summa Cum Laude from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television as the Valedictorian with a BA in Film Production in 2007, before completing a second concentration in Screenwriting at UCLA, and winning a Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award in 2008.
Simultaneously, Bohannon has worked as a chef for eco-luxury health retreats around the world, including Aro Ha in New Zealand and The Ashram in Calabasas. She has authored two cookbooks: "No Sweeter than the Ripest Cherry" in 2013 and "The Way We Eat" in 2018.
Bohannon lives and works in Los Angeles, raising her son Mylo, who has Down Syndrome.
