Ian is an extremely talented and diverse performer. He trained in martial arts and dance from a young age, competing with the National Junior Judo Squad and also winning a scholarship to The London Studio Centre. His dance training led him to travel the world with Matthew Bourne's all-male Swan Lake before returning to the West End as a dancer and acrobat in Notre Dame de Paris.
The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns was Ian's first step into films. Doubling Kieran Culkin on the production led him to train for, and be accepted onto, the UK Stunt Register. Since then he has worked on iconic TV shows ranging from Eastenders to Game of Thrones. He has also appeared in numerous commercials including a major NHS Alcohol Harm Prevention campaign.
Live-action performances remain close to Ian's heart; he has delighted hundreds of children with shows at Legoland Windsor and Abu Dhabi. A highlight of 2012 was performing alongside Coldplay during the London Olympic Games Closing Ceremony.
Since qualifying as a stuntman Ian has worked on many of the most successful movies of recent times; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Mamma Mia, Pirates of the Caribbean, Fury and Avengers: Age of Ultron to name but a few.
One of his biggest achievements has been working on the Harry Potter films. Ian was honoured by the Screen Actors Guild Awards for 'Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' for stunt-doubling Daniel Radcliffe, and he continues to do so.
Creating fight sequences as part of Brad Allan's stunt team have been some of Ian's career highlights. The results were memorable scenes in The World's End and Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Ian thrives on working with the greatest talents in the industry; recent work has included filming motion-capture sequences on the upcoming Jungle Book: Origins movie. This provided a master class in creature work from Terry Notary and Andy Serkis.
