Kim C. Roberts has produced films and television for more than two decades with partner Tina Pehme, following 25 years as an entertainment attorney at the boutique law firm Roberts & Stahl.
Together with Pehme, Roberts has produced Sepia's feature films Anthem of a Teenage Prophet (2018) starring Cameron Monaghan, Peyton List and Juliette Lewis; The Games Maker (2014), an Argentina/Canada/Italy co-production for Disney starring Joseph Fiennes, Ed Asner and David Mazouz; In Their Skin (2012), a suspense thriller starring Selma Blair, James D'Arcy, Josh Close and Rachel Miner; A Shine Of Rainbows (2010), a Canada/Ireland co-production starring Aidan Quinn and Connie Nielsen; Partition (2007), an epic romance shot in India starring Neve Campbell, Jimi Mistry, Kristen Kreuk and Irrfan Kahn; Civic Duty (2007), a psychological thriller starring Peter Krause and Richard Schiff; Love On The Side (2004), a rom-com starring Jennifer Tilly, Marla Sokoloff and Barry Watson, as well as the feature documentaries Keepers of the Magic (2017), The Boy From Geita (2014), Hue: A Matter Of Colour (2013), and And The Beat Goes On... (2009). Roberts also executive produced the Canada/UK cult classic It's All Gone Pete Tong(2004).
In 2012 Pehme and Roberts began producing television with a mandate to make feature quality television movies with likeminded partners and top tier talent. Productions include the "Nightmare" franchise for Lifetime and A&E and the highly rated Perfect High starring Bella Thorne.
In 2005 Pehme and Roberts also established development company Honalee Productions to handle their development slate and to facilitate post-production in house, enabling Sepia to see a project from development through to online including visual effects and 3D editorial in house.
Apart from his creative role at Sepia, Roberts also oversees production financing and contract negotiations for all of Sepia's productions and is the resident mixologist.
