Simon Hayes is an Academy Award-winning Production Sound Mixer celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to cinematic sound. He earned an Oscar for Les Misérables under the direction of Tom Hooper, alongside the BAFTA for Best Sound and the CAS Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing. His innovative techniques on Les Misérables redefined on-set vocal recording, setting a new standard for authenticity and emotional resonance in musical films.
With a portfolio of over ten musical features including the three highest grossing Broadway adaptions of all time, Simon is recognised as one of the world's experts in musical sound production.
