Darryl Stogre is a versatile actor with a career that spans multiple continents and industries. Originally from Okotoks, Alberta, Darryl's journey into acting began after graduating from the Alberta High School of Fine Arts. His career took him to Tokyo, Japan, where he worked in various entertainment sectors while honing his craft. There, he performed in a wide range of genres, from Japanese documentaries and comedy shows to soap operas, films, and video games. A notable highlight of his early career includes voicing iconic characters in Megaman 8 for Playstation.
Darryl's passion for travelling, led him to live and work in diverse countries, including France, Australia, the USA, and the Cayman Islands. His international experiences have not only broadened his acting range but also deepened his understanding of different cultures. In 2009, Darryl returned to Canada with renewed focus on his acting career. He studied the Meisner technique at the Company of Rogues Actor's Studio, earning two full-time Masterclass Certificates by 2013.
In recent years, Darryl has continued to build his acting portfolio, appearing in numerous films and TV series in the Calgary area. He returned to the Company of Rogues in 2023 to further refine his craft under the mentorship of industry veterans Christiane Hirt and Joe Norman-Shaw. This ongoing training allows Darryl to continually challenge himself and expand his acting abilities.
When he's not performing, Darryl enjoys cooking, disc golfing, and pushing the boundaries of his creativity. His wide-ranging experiences in acting and life make him a dynamic and adaptable performer, ready to take on any role that challenges him.
