Three decades of professional experience developing, designing, directing, and/or supervising many of the most successful animated films and games ever created. In 2018, Josh was inducted into the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (Oscars) for "exceptional accomplishments in the field of theatrical motion pictures."

In addition to his film and series projects, Josh also serves as a Professor of Cinematic Arts at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and is one of the founding members of Rise Up Animation, an organization striving to increase diversity in the animation industry..

Before joining Disney in 2007, Josh Staub served as Art and Visual Design Director for Cyan Worlds, creators of the wildly successful Myst series. At age 22 Josh became the Art Director for Cyan, widely considered the art and storytelling pioneers of the gaming world. Josh's artistic and storytelling skills helped elevate Cyan Worlds' position as an industry leader.

In 2005, Josh completed 'The Mantis Parable', an animated short created entirely by Josh alone, allowing him for the first time to combine his artistic, storytelling, and musical talents into one project. The Mantis Parable screened in over 100 festivals worldwide (Tribeca, Annecy), and won 18 top awards including twice qualifying for Academy Award nomination consideration. The film also screened at the nation's top art museums - the Smithsonian Institute, the National Gallery of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York where it resides in permanent archive.
