Jorge Luengas

Jorge was born in Madrid, and moved to London, where he is based, in 1994 (at the tender age of 21) where he gained a degree in Film & Video Production at Westminster College, after which he worked his way up the camera department, first as loader and focus puller then operator until he got his break to start as Director of Photography. Throughout his career as DoP, Jorge has worked in all sort of productions, from docos and commercials to feature films and TV drama, alongside well established producers and directors. He is known for his passion and total involvement in every project, resourceful when under pressure, always mindful about the budget, and with time effective methods. All these with an outgoing personality (not always appreciated!) and good sense of humor. Jorge is an active member of the Spanish Society of Cinematographers (AEC) since 2015. Also a family man, he is father, taxi and wallet to three children.
