Keri Cicolani attended UCLA where she studied Film Communications and Screen Writing. She later earned a MFA in Creative Writing. Coming from a family of writers and performers, her grandmother, a professional dancer and novelist, encouraged Keri to move to Los Angeles and pursue a writing career in film. At 19 Keri landed her first writing job as a punch up writer. After several years writing scripts, Keri decided to leap into production and was later hired by Pixar Animation Studios. Keri is first cousins to the Film Critic, Dana Stevens. She is the niece of novelist Diane Stevens, and the granddaughter to the late Dancer and Novelist, Sheryl Hacker.
