Jacob Hair was born in Milford, Delaware due to the Three Mile Island evacuation of his parents' home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His early interest in storytelling was inspired by comic book art, fantasy illustration, and "Night of the Living Dead". Jacob majored in Sequential Art at SCAD in Savannah, Georgia before moving to Los Angeles in 2001.
