Marsha Mason(II)
- Actress
- Writer
- Producer
Marsha is a neuro sparkly actor-writer whose brand is Mistress of Sidequests.
She's also the co writer of the award winning puppet comedy special (Puppet. Comedy. Special.) 'Some TV!' that aired on an Emmy Award winning network.
She wore a fancy dress to watch it.
Being one of the inaugural winners of the Magee Diverse TV Award through the Toronto Screenwriting Conference, she got to practice a tv pitch on the man himself. Woot woot!
Onscreen, Marsha has played Store Owner opposite Mads Mikkelsen in the film 'Polar'. While she didn't technically have a screen name, the fabulous production team named the store "Marsha's". So. Points! (BTW, directed by international award winning director, the totally metal Jonas Åkerlund. Who's directed music vids for, ya know, Beyonce, Lady Gaga...Madonna. NBD)
Marsha's come a long way since her teen years, sitting at the dining table, typing out scripts on a brick of an IBM electric typewriter until 3 in the morning. All her favorite shows. All with parts for her.
Her current project, 'Purgatory', is a chaotic, half hour office comedy full of heart and humanity. The 'office' being a rundown hotel in the middle of nowhere. Where D level contestants of a Survivor type rip off show get kicked off to. And have to wait in. Because they can't go home yet.
(Talk about a pressure cooker.)
Marsha loves garage sales, YA novels from her teen years, and if you have a dog she will definitely see it before she sees you.
