Peter Meech is a multi-award winning writer, producer and director for television and film. He's also an author and playwright.
Recently he wrote, produced and directed the mystery thriller "Around Robin", starring Clementine Nicholson, Torrance Coombs and Ann Pirvu. The film was invited by to be part of a Special Screening Series at the Capri Hollywood International Film Festival where it screened with Italian subtitles in Capri and Sorrento. At the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, "Around Robin" won "Best Cast Ensemble". At the Hollywood Reel International Film Festival, "Around Robin" won "Best Mystery Film". Hewes Pictures has acquired the worldwide rights to the film.
Peter has recently written "Search Out the Land", a feature documentary for producer Len Pearl.
He has also written a free translation and adaptation of Georges Feydeau's farce "A Tailor for Ladies" for director Conrad Cecil.
Peter launched his debut novel, "Billy (the Kid)", at the iconic Jaipur Literature Festival, in Jaipur, India. This Neo-Western, set during the Depression in Pueblo, Colorado, garnered high praise from Larry McMurtry, Craig Johnson, Chris Knowlton, and the New York Journal of Books, among others.
For two years Peter wrote for German television and later produced "Jenifa" in Japan with Robbie Robertson, starring Japan's heart-throb Takayuki Yamada. He has written, produced and directed several short films, including the award-winning "Winner: Best Short Film", starring Kevin Farley and John Farley.
Peter's credits include the made-for-television movie "Last Tango in Constanta", HBO's "The Adventures of Tintin" (for which he was also voice-talent), "Emily of New Moon", "Masked Rider", "VR Troopers", "Ready or Not", and "Robert Halmi's Dracula: The Series". His memoir "Mysteries of the Life Force: My Apprenticeship with a Chi Kung Master" has been translated into several languages. He received a Master's degree at Stanford where he received the Stanford Nicholl writing award. He is a member of the Writer's Guild of Canada, the Writer's Guild of America, the Animation Caucus of the WGA, BAFTA, SAG, the Dramatists Guild of America and ASCAP.
