The future is not looking bright for Raven’s Home, which has officially been cancelled by Disney Channel after six seasons, TVLine has confirmed.
A continuation of That’s So Raven, which aired on Disney Channel from 2003 to 2007, Raven’s Home reunited viewers with the sitcom’s titular psychic (played by Raven-Symoné), who was now the mother of twins — including a son Booker (Issac Ryan Brown), who has clairvoyant powers of his own. Set in Chicago for its first four seasons, Raven’s Home ultimately relocated back to San Francisco (aka the original setting of That’s So Raven) for the remainder of its run.

Can you imagine if "That's So Raven" starred anyone else as its lead other than Raven-Symoné? We can't, but according to series star Anneliese van der Pol, Disney Channel initially gave her former child-actor costar a supporting role in their show because of what she claims was racism from the network.
During an appearance on fellow Disney Channel star Christy Carlson Romano's "Vulnerable" podcast, van der Pol said that when the network was casting for her family sitcom (originally called "Absolutely Psychic"), Raven-Symoné wasn't the original lead, "she was the sidekick." At the time, the "That's So Raven" alum said Disney Channel was still looking for its main star, a role she auditioned for herself.
As it turns out, Disney Channel filled that role with another actor, with Raven-Symoné still on board as the "sidekick," but van der Pol noted, "When they filmed, they realized...

The Disney comedy series "That's So Raven" was a defining TV show for so many pre-teens and teens in the 2000s. 14 years after its debut, the show's spin-off series, "Raven's Home," debuted in 2017 featuring many of the same lovable characters from the original show in refreshed adult roles. "Raven's Home" centers around Raven Baxter (Raven-Symoné), a single mom of her two kids, Nia and Booker, all whom live in Chicago with her quirky lifelong best friend Chelsea Grayson (formally Daniels) and her son Levi.
Since its debut, the series has been received well by both critics and longtime fans of "That's So Raven," but the announcement that some main characters, particularly Chelsea (played by Anneliese van der Pol), would not be in the upcoming fifth season prompted many to wonder why she was left out. Here's what we know.

For Disney kids of the early aughts, it's been a roller coaster of nostalgia when it comes to our favorite childhood shows. For me, it began with the news that Cory and Topanga would be continuing their story on Girl Meets World, and while it brought us the iconic Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter, the show just did not do it for me. Then, there was Raven's Home. I had hopes when I heard Anneliese van der Pol had signed on with Raven-Symoné, and I tuned in for that premiere as well. Besides a few chuckles, let's just say the shenanigans of 11-year-old twins doesn't make for the most riveting television for most 20-somethings (but no judgment if you're into it). The reboots seemed to not be for the original fans but for a new audience.

Early '00s Disney Channel shows had plenty of enviable Bff duos: Lizzie and Miranda, London and Maddie, Penny and Dijonay, Miley and Lilly, Alex and Harper, and - perhaps the best one of all - Raven and Chelsea. That's So Raven costars Raven-Symoné and Anneliese van der Pol played onscreen besties, but their friendship wasn't just for the cameras, because these two actresses are still Irl BFFs.
During a September 2019 Today appearance, Anneliese got emotional while talking about her lifelong bestie. "Raven and I have always really respected each other's talent, and that goes a long way," she said. "And if somebody can make you better in your job, and you can make them better, I mean, you better stick together." The two continue to stick together on the set of the That's So Raven spinoff series, Raven's Home, and lucky for us, they're closer than ever. Just look...

Tonight’s double dose of “Masked Singer” episodes meant two hours of the crazy competition and two more celebrity identities: Sherri Shepherd, who was The Penguin, and Raven-Symoné, who hid behind The Black Widow.
And though both made it a decent way into the competition (after tonight there are just nine contestants left out of the 16 that Season 2 started with), there were still songs they never got to sing, either because their time was cut short or they didn’t have the stamina.
The latter was Shepherd’s problem when she wanted to perform Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts.”
