Claudia Soberón was born on September 29, 1977 in Mexico City. As a teen she sang and performed in several musical groups and in 1988 won the singing competition sponsored by Marinela's brand that was televised nationally by Televisa.
She eventually discovered that acting was her true passion and she enrolled "El Foro de Teatro Contemporaneo" drama academy in Mexico City. She studied dance and theater with internationally prominent artists as Ludwik Margules, Adriana Roel, Julieta Egurrola, Luisa Huertas and Fernando Torre Lapham.
Claudia made her acting debut in David Mamet's "Sexual Perversity in Chicago" as Deborah Soloman. Other roles followed in plays such as "Maria Frankenstein" (playing the title role), "The Monologue of a Whore in a Lunatic Asylum" and "The Green Cockatoo". On TV she appeared in series such as Golpe bajo (2000) and Amores querer con alevosía (2001), where she played the recurring role of Claudia.
She made her film debut in Soba (2004), a drama where she played a teenager raped by a group of cops. After a successful european festival tour, the movie was released theatrically in Mexico in 2005. Other acting jobs include the Telemundo's movie Historias y testigos: ¡Ni una muerta mas! (2004) and the experimental web series The Bet (2016).
As a singer, she has recorded jingles for TV commercials in Mexico and US as well as backing vocals for commercial albums. She has also performed live in cultural events in Mexico, Spain and Italy.
