Apurv Swami is an indie cinematographer & producer based in Vancouver, Canada, originally from Mumbai, India. After moving to Vancouver in 2021 to study film production at Vancouver Film School, Apurv graduated with a focus on film producing and cinematography in 2023. He swiftly made his mark in the film industry as the cinematographer & gaffer for feature films "Kalyug (2025)" and "Encore (2026)" respectively and has since worked as the Director of Photography for over 15 short films, including "Delivery (2024)", which received an Honorable Mention for Best Film at MAMM 2024.
With more than 150 days of on-set experience, Apurv has honed his expertise across feature films, short films, commercials, and music videos. His technical prowess spans all industry-standard cinema cameras from RED to ARRI, complemented by a distinctive taste for cinema lenses that bring unique visual stories to life. Prior to his cinematographic achievements, Apurv worked as a VFX artist at DNEG India, with credits on major films like "Dune (2021)", "No Time to Die (2021)", "Venom (2018)" and "Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)".
