Raymond Power is of Puerto Rican descent and hails from Tacoma, Washington. He is known for his work in Steven Soderbergh's
KIMI (2021), Due Justice (2023) starring Kellan Lutz, and American/Indian (2024), in which he serves as Lead Producer and a supporting cast member.
Raymond grew up in a challenging environment, facing abuse, drug addiction, and violence. His grandmother's house became his sanctuary, where she introduced him to the transformative world of films, sparking his passion for cinema. Despite joining a gang in his younger years and struggling with homelessness, the birth of his first child motivated him to change his life. He enrolled in college, discovered a new outlook on life, and developed new passions. Raymond went on to win several awards for his outstanding achievements in higher education and spoke at colleges nationwide about overcoming adversity through hard work and dedication.
Raymond's love for drama emerged during his time at Pierce College, where he trained in Theatre. He is also a graduate of The Film School, an intensive screenwriting program founded by actor Tom Skerritt. At The Film School, he was mentored by WGA screenwriters and American Music Video Director Josh Taft. Raymond began his acting career in community theatre before transitioning to film. Over the last five years, he has added Producer, Filmmaker, and Grip to his growing list of credits.
Dedicated to bringing awareness and change through his artistic pursuits, Raymond believes in telling real stories that reflect the world he grew up in. His work focuses on diverse, resilient, and beautiful characters whose adversity has shaped them into who they are.
