Irish director Terry Iland has directed award-winning commercials in
the UK, Ireland and the Far East for Shell Oil, Coca Cola, Honda and
many other international brands. Prior to this he made pop promos for
many high profile music acts including, Fine Young Cannibals, After the
Fire, Icicle Works and others.
A former actor, trained at the Drama Centre London, he worked at The Royal Court, Newcastle Playhouse, Greenwich, Belfast Lyric, Duke's Lancaster and King's Head, and on television for Granada, in Fallen Hero and The Ballyskillen Opera House where he was a series regular.
In the 80s he was choreographer, MC and backing vocalist with the former Neasden Queen of Soul - Miss Beehive Mari Wilson with The Wilsations whose single 'Just What I Always Wanted' went to No. 8 in the UK charts.
With over ten years of drama directing to his credit, he has made close to 200 hours of TV and film. He divides his time between writing and his directing career. (2008)
