Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, she graduated as an architect specializing in the field of adaptation and restoration of architectural monuments of culture. Due to her dual nationality she was able to work as an architect in the Ministry of Culture in Bulgaria and, lately, in different architectural agencies in France.
In 1998, she accepted an offer to be a production designer in a German film which eventually kicked off her career as a production designer in American movies. She has worked on more than 70 movies, most notably, Killing Season (2013), Automata (2014), Criminal (2016), London Has Fallen (2016), and Rambo: Last Blood (2019).
