Behind Francois Cadol in French, Atsuko Tanaka in Japanese is the 2nd longest running single Lara Croft dub voice actress from Tomb 2 (1997) to Tomb 6/AOD in 2003.

Tanaka died after battling an undisclosed illness for over a year.

In 2012, a Biglobe poll named her the Voice Actress with the Sexiest Voice.

She first graduated from Maebashi Municipal Minami-Tachibana Junior High School, then went to the Gunma Prefectural Maebashi Girls' High School, and studied at the Ferris University , Faculty of Letters, Department of Japanese Literature.

She was best known for her portrayal of Motoko Kusanagi in the Ghost in the Shell film and franchise.
