Born in 1979, Gabe Sprenger has been in the animation field since 1999.
After completing one year of college at Northwest Nazarene College,
Gabe was taken on as an animator for the stop motion TV series "The
PJ's", at Will Vinton Studios in Portland, Oregon. After working on
several other stop motion TV series Gabe landed in Los Osos, CA, the
current home of Gumby creator Art Clockey. Gabe joined the son of Gumby
creator, Joe Clockey and his team of crew to create the animated TV
Christmas Special, "Davey and Goliath's Snowboard Christmas Special."
After the completion of the Christmas special Gabe went to Germany to
work on an episode of "Dragon", a joint animation effort which included
a mix of countries including, Germany (animation), Korea (sets), and
Canada (Post). Gabe returned to Los Osos to work with the Gumby team to
produce three short Gumby animations for the web. Gabe then worked part
of a season on Robot Chicken and then returned home to Portland Oregon
where he has been employed since 2005 at the Laika commercial animation
department as animator and animation director.
