Nelson Shin is the founder and president of Akom Productiion Co., Ltd.
In the seventies, Shin worked as an animator at the DePatie-Freleng
studio, where he worked on the "Pink Panther" films and did animation of the lightsaber blades in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), though he was uncredited. He founded Akom in
1985, located in Seoul, South Korea. Much of the animation Shin's
studio produced has been for American television. Some of Akom's
credits are: The Simpsons (1989), X-Men (1992) and _"Invasion America"_ (1998).
