In the 1960s, Gilbert Ralston began work in television and film writing,
including the screenplay for
Willard (1971). This was based on the
book 'Ratman's Notebooks' written by Stephen Gilbert. Gilbert Ralston spent his final years in a South Carolina
nursing home, where he died in 1999.
