Stephanie Phillips is an accomplished LA-based writer residing in South Florida. She has an impressive resume in Network television, film, theatre and the internet.
Her original screenplay, Revenge of the Bridesmaids (2010) airing on ABC Family, was nominated for a People's Choice Award. Her other writing credits include Clueless (1998), Grace Under Fire (1997), Kim Possible (2002), America's Funniest People (1993) and Beakman's World (1992).
She's written and developed her own original television pilots: Rehab (MTV), Seizureworld (TV Land) and Making It (Spelling TV). Development work on original projects includes Ex-Husband for Sale (ABC Family), Falcon and Finch(Klasky-Csupo), Chloe and What's-Her-Face(Disney), Casa De Usta (TV Land), Fairyland High (Disney), Big Black Cat (Klasky Csupo) and numerous others.
Her Theater credits include a successful run of Evolution of a Rib at The Santa Monica Playhouse. In addition, she is half the brain behind Dailyanxiety.com, a satirical website skewering all things Hollywood, that Entertainment Weekly Magazine called "wickedly mischievous."
Ms. Phillips won a Cable Ace Award for her work on Beakman's World, and is a highly regarded alumnus of the Warner Brothers Writer's Program. She also holds the unique distinction of being the only writer to ever win two out of the ten prestigious screenwriting honors in the Diane Thomas UCLA Program.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Miami with a BA in Creative Writing. She recently completed a memoir of interwoven vignettes called, Glass Half Crazy: True Stories of Sex, Sanity, Divorce and Hollywood which is being shopped by Paula Munier of the Talcott-Notch Agency.
In addition, Ms. Phillips has worked as a script consultant for HBO, Showtime, New Line and Fries Entertainment. She has also taught screenwriting and sitcom writing classes for UCLA Extension students, as well as intensive script analysis for private writing clients in various stages of their career.
