D. L. Newton (aka Donna Newton) is a writer, primarily of plays, as well as television pilots & projects. She began working professionally in the entertainment industry, initially as an independent casting director with Judy Courtney (for television, film, and theatre); later, as executive assistant/literary coordinator for theatre producer Richard Frankel. She then spent more than 20 years in the realms of marketing, advertising, communications, social media, and public relations at several agencies and firms in New York, including Foote Cone & Belding, MediaCom, DeVries Public Relations, as well as non-profits in NYC. She is a co-chair of the womxn's reproductive rights activist group WHARR, and
