Dan Morski
- Art Director
- Art Department
- Visual Effects
He attended Frontier Central High School in Hamburg, New York. Shortly
after graduation he volunteered for Vietnam and served with the 1/27
Infantry, 25th Infantry Division as a mortarman from May of 1968 to
July of 1969 extending his stay in country for an early out. His first
use of the GI Bill was to obtain his FCC license for broadcasting at
Brown Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1970 where he graduated
with a high proficency and landed his first job at WKIZ in Key West
Florida as a top 40 disk jockey. He spun platters for close to 2 years.
Using his GI Bill again in 1973 he enrolled at Boston University in
their School Of Communications thinking he would get a degree in
broadcasting and become a program director at a radio station when he
came out. Well, he was introduced to film in his freshman year and
decided film was for him. He received his Bachelor Of Science Degree in
Broadcasting and Film in 1977. Coming west after graduation and
entering into the film industry in any category other than entry was
impossible. His work ethic was always good and had no problem working
his way up. His first opportunity came in commercials with a company
called Vern Gillum and Friends. Here is where he really learned the
ABCs of the town. Martin Tahse hired him first as a Property Master and
later as an Art Director, cementing his career in the Art Department.
In 1987 he joined Local 44 as a property master and in 2001 he joined
the Art Directors Guild. He is now in his 3rd season with Mad
TV.
