An Award-winning Producer/Cinematographer Hoffman is a dual citizen of the US and Canada, having worked for years worldwide with a focus on documentary production. He earned international expertise from projects shot worldwide from Easter Island to Antarctica, Japan to Europe and the middle east. He has extensive credits in feature films, international television, documentaries and commercials. His clients range from Canadian and German Television, The big 3 US Networks, Toyota and Lexus, Disney and Nickelodeon. He worked on "Pee-Wee's Playhouse," Michael Jackson's "Thriller," as well as acclaimed documentaries: "The Corporation," (Most successful Canadian Documentary in Canadian History) "Ayn Rand: A Sense of Life," (Academy Award Nomination), and Steve Laffey's "Fixing America Movie."
As Producer, Jeff helped lead Toyota Motor Corporation's introduction of the esteemed Lexus automobile to North America through a video and still photography campaign filming in NYC, San Francisco, Tennessee, Kentucky and Tokyo.
In 2011 Former Rhode Island Mayor and Hedge Fund COO Steve Laffey tapped Jeff as Director of Photography on his controversial film, "Fixing America." In a television interview when asked about the film, Steve said, "...without Jeff Hoffman we never would have been able to make this movie."
His specialty is filming real people on location and in the studio. Advertising legend, Ed McCabe called him "light eye"
