Chicago native Mark Harden is a retired movie animal trainer. He worked for Animal Actors of Hollywood from 1979 to 1993, Brian McMillan's Hollywood Animals from 1994 to 1997 and Boone's Animals for Hollywood until his retirement in 2021. He was born and raised in the historic gold mining town of Sonora, California. He attended Curtis Creek Elementary School in the lumber town called Standard, and high school at Sonora Unified High School. He now lives in Southern California. He is married and has 3 grown children and 3 grand children.
