Richard H. Gerard(1876-1948)

Songwriter ("Sweet Adeline") and composer, educated at the Eclectic
Medical College and the New York College of Dental and Oral Surgery. He
served with the American Red Cross overseas, receiving Polish, Serbian
and French commissions. Joining ASCAP in 1927, his other popular-song
compositions include "I've Got My Eyes on You", "Sweet Summer Time",
"Follow the Crowd on a Sunday", "You're My Heart's Desire, I Love You",
and "Sweetest Girl of All".
