Celiana Cárdenas

Celiana Cárdenas is a Mexican cinematographer who is based in Toronto and usually works in USA, Canada, and Mexico. Her feature films have been nominated in numerous festivals, and she has won several Cinematography awards. In 2018, she began shooting series for Canadian and American Television. Her latest work will be showcased in HBO's Duster.
She graduated from Mexico's CCC as a Cinematographer and went on to obtain her Master's degree at UCLA. She has worked with classmates and contemporary cinematographers such as Emmanuel Lubezki, AMC, ASC, Rodrigo Prieto, AMC, ASC, Xavier Grobet, AMC, ASC, among others.
Her work has led her to shoot in countries all over North and South America and Europe, and she's worked with award winners and well-known actors like Anna Paquin, Catherine Keener, Tatiana Maslany, and Louis Gossett Jr.
Celiana is known for being Mexico's first female cinematographer. Since the start of her career she has paved the way for other women in Cinematography and the Camera Department. She is an active member of the Mexican Society of Cinematographers (AMC).
