First wife's name was Loveleen (Lavlin Thadani). Loveleen came to interview Vijay Anand on behalf of Moscow radio. Vijay at the same time was producing a bold romantic film Jaan Hazir Hai starring Prem Kishen (son of villain Premnath) & Shekhar Kapur. Loveleen was beautiful and thus Vijay Anand offered her the lead role in Jaan Hazir Hai. The movie was launched with total fanfare. Loveleen started to bond with Vijay and was fascinated by his attire which he used to wear as a disciple of Rajneesh. Vijay introduced the spiritual world of Rajneesh to Loveleen and she was totally impressed with it. She kept joining Vijay in his Pune visits to the ashram. Vijay, at that time, used to spend minimum ten days a month in Pune ashram. Loveleen's faith in Rajneesh kept growing and so did her feelings for Vijay due to which, she also decided to renounce everything and moved from Delhi to Rajneesh's ashram in Pune. She proposed Vijay Anand to marry her.She knew that Vijay won't like her acting in films and thus decided to leave Jaan Hazir Hai. They were happily married until, Loveleen one fine day put forth her wish of working again in films and asked him to write a script which revolves around her as the heroine opposite a superstar actor, Vijay was upset by this as Vijay wanted to detach himself from the fake world of showbiz. They later divorced.

Grand uncle to actor Purab Kohli. Purab's dad ( Hersh Kohli) is Vijay's sister's son.

In 2009, Son Vaibhav was to debut as a actor in the film " Petrol Pump". The film was to be directed by Ketan Anand and was scripted by Chetan Anand years ago. Raaj Kumar and Rajesh Khanna were penciled in for the film. The film then got shelved for unknown reasons. Plans for Vaibhav to turn actor also got cancelled in 2010. In 2016, Ketan Anand restarted the film, but replaced Vaibhav with Surya Rishi Anand ( Vivek Anand's son).

Hollywood director Mike Judge was a huge fan of Vijay Anand. Mike saw the film's Double Cross ,Tere Mere Sapne and Chor Chor and was amazed by Vijay Anand's westernized personality. When Mike directed Beavis and Butthead Do America, he animated a character who looked like Vijay Anand. He appeared playing a guitar on stage during the song "Roller Coaster". Vijay Anand wanted to use the song "Roller Coaster" for his film Double Cross. Vijay loved the song.He was unable to get the required rights to use the song.

Vijay Anand (Goldie) was making a movie in year 1990s titled Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas with music by Nadeem-Shravan. Goldie got annoyed and shelved the film as the composers Nadeem-Shravan told Goldie that they don't have time to sit and work out the songs with the filmmaker, instead they gave the tapes of ready made tune to Goldie and told him to select the tunes.

Vijay Anand (Goldie) in 1980s had wanted to make a film based on Meet John Doe and Goldie himself wanted to play the lead. Goldie tried very hard to make the film but dint work out. There was a talk that Mushir and Riaz were to produce the film after Rajput but it dint happen. It was finally made as Main Azaad Hoon.

After being dropped from Chura Lenge Aankhon Se Kajal, Vijay Anand signed Akshay Kumar for a film titled "Sauda" in 1991. The project never took off.

Ex wife Loveleen starred in the shelved movie R & R International's "Kafan"(1975) Starring Kiran Kumar, Loveleen, Ranjeet, Imtiaz Khan, Music by Sonik -Omi, Produced and Directed by Kumar-Shyam.

After Rajput, Vijay Anand had planned a big budget film called Dekha Jayega with Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. Anil caused major delays and backed out at the last hour causing the film to get shelved. Vijay Anand restarted it with Jackie Shroff and Saif Ali Khan in 1994. Vijay Anand voiced his anger in several interviews towards Anil and Jackie. He felt they were not committing to the film and kept on delaying .The film was once eventually shelved.

Uncle to Bhisham Kohli. Bhisham mother Savitri/Kanti is Vijay's sister. Bisham acted in a few films under the name Vishal Anand. Bisham is also the brother of producer/ director Hersh Kohli. Producer Yash Kohli is also a sibling of Hersh and Bhisham.

Acha Anand worked as a production controller with Navketan productions. He was also secretary to Rajesh Khanna,Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff. On 26thh November 1994, he died due to cirrhosis of the liver. He left behind a wife and 2 daughters.

Nephew's are director Gogi Anand and his younger brother Siddhatha "Kaka" Anand. Siddhartha worked in production for Navketan. Gogi and Siddhartha's father Vishwamitra Anand was Vijay's cousin. Sidharth produced "Maine Jeena Seekh Liya"(1982).
