Michael Aisner grew up on Chicago's North Shore attending famed New Trier High School, where he worked for four years at the school's FM radio station. During his term, he interviewed celebrities like Louis Armstrong and Muhammad Ali and began a long commitment to radio documentaries, including a later special on Elton John's first US Tour. He served on the station Board of Directors and was the first Station Manager of the school's new TV station.
Michael Aisner was one of the original architects of the United Artists Satellite Theatre Network, the first digital interactive broadcast technology that provided live programming to movie theatres. Aisner was responsible for the conceptual application and integration of an in-theatre interactive response keypad system for which he shared a patent. With United Artists as Director of Original Programming he developed live entertainment and B2B programming with boxing moguls Bob Arum and Don King, famed life coach Tony Robbins and corporations like Chrysler with Jim Belushi live from Paramount Studios, Nike, and Microsoft during his 7 year tenure. He was UA's Executive Producer on "The Reggae Movie."
Aisner's first foray into film was as "A" crew production assistant on CBS's award-winning "A Day in the Life of the USA" deploying 21 film units each chronicling life events as man first stepped on the moon. He was contract music supervisor for two ABC Afterschool Specials. Aisner served as a story consultant on Southpark creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker's "Alferd Packer: The Musical."
Michael Aisner was a music contractor and advisor on the film "The Brother's O'Toole" starring John Astin and Patty Duke and consultant and rights holder for the Alan Ladd Productions and Warner Bros film "American Flyers" with Kevin Costner.
During his decades long association with famed scientist Dr. Jane Goodall, Aisner served as a story advisor on HBO's Oscar-nominated "Chimps: So Like Us," the Goodall IMAX film, and the 2012 documentary "Jane's Journey" in which he also appeared. He was the facilitator and production advisor on the popular Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated documentary "Chasing Ice."
Aisner is a producer and partner in Frame x Frame Films, developing and researching a feature narrative on the early days around Jane Goodall's legendary years living amongst the wild chimpanzees in the African forest.
