Is good friends with rapper Eminem. Both battle-rapped against each other while coming up in Detroit.

Years before he gained fame, as a listener of the Howard Stern show, he sent in a song to Howard (a sort of song parody) that Howard ended up loving and playing over and over. When became famous years later Howard still remembered the song.

The cover art of his live album "Live Trucker" is an homage to the cover art of Bob Seger's "Live Bullet" album.

Ex-girlfriend Kelley Russell is the subject of his biographical song, "Black Chick, White Guy".

I've never done songs with people just for the sake of the great combination. I've always done songs with friends. Sheryl Crow is one of them. It's just fun to sing with her. She's like a cool, gentle breeze and I'm this big snowstorm.
