The story centers on a dying prospector who divides the map to his gold mine into three parts: one for the outlaw who shot him (Frank Campeau), one for comedy sidekick Harry Grippe, and the third to hero Mix. The latter must also care for the miner's now-orphaned son (Mickey Moore) and, at the same time, reach the mine before his enemies do.

A drought is about to end the cattle business. The owner of a canning factory wants to buy all the remaining cattle cheap. He plans to ruin the cattlemen's plans to ship water by train and to seed the clouds for rain. Roy is sent by a packing house to investigate.

In an attempt to steal thousands of horses from a Navajo tribe in Arizona, outlaw Clint Bolling pretends to be a government inspector assigned to weed out the tribe's diseased animals. Bolling's forged documents allow him and his gang access to the herd, which is led by the magnificent stallion "Rex." While Bolling trains his horse, "Marquis," to lead the horses into a trap, the Indians hold a high council to celebrate the coming of age of Red Wolf. Big Man, Red Wolf's father, was once the most celebrated member of the tribe, and he decides that in order to prove his manhood, his son must capture and tame Rex. Red Wolf trails Rex into the desert and finally captures him in quicksand. Red Wolf becomes obsessed with training the beautiful animal, and even forgets Wanima, the beautiful maiden who loves him. Desperate to get rid of Rex so that Marquis can take control of the herd, Bolling goes to the corral under the pretense of inspecting Rex's health, although he really intends to kill him. Bolling torments the spirited animal until Rex, filled with hatred, escapes in pursuit of Bolling after the impostor is forced to leave the corral. News arrives from Washington that Bolling is a fake, and the tribe also searches for him. As they arrive at his hiding place, Marquis is leading the horses into a trap, but Rex suddenly appears. After a desperate fight with Marquis, Rex kills the other horse and sends his herd to safety. Rex then finds Bolling cowering in a crevice and tramples him with his hooves. Red Wolf proudly ties Rex beside Wanima's hogan, thereby indicating that the couple is engaged, and Wanima's father and Big Man begin bargaining over whether the dowry shall be forty or fifty sheep.

A ranch manager falls in love with a banker's daughter. After he and the girl's parents have a quarrel, he and the girl flee across the border into Mexico.

Bob Norton, seeking his brother's killer, tangles with outlaws, wild horses, and a "wild" boy.

Rocky arrives to help his friend Nugget whose shipments are being robbed. Learning the gang only goes for incoming shipments, he figures they are repacking the loot and having Nugget ship it out. So he hijacks the next outgoing shipment finding a box labeled tools contains gold bars. Then posing as an outlaw he makes a deal with the gang hoping to round them up. But the boss learns he is a Marshal and he is made a prisoner.

A rancher's daughter returns from college to marry her fiance, the ranch foreman. However, the foreman has gotten involved with gangsters, who are now after him because he hid their stolen money and can't remember where.

Yak Darnell once known as the Outlaw Breaker no longer carries a gun. When there is a conflict between cattlemen and sheep men and a man is shot, Yak is framed. Escaping the lynch mob he once more straps on his gun.

Upon rescuing Betty Hampton, the sheriff's daughter, when she is thrown from her horse, cowboy Bob Benton promptly falls in love with her. Their romance is cut short, though, when the sheriff notifies his daughter that she is needed at home. While on his way to visit Betty, Bob sees a man shot and killed, and capturing his runaway horses, Bob takes them to town. Meanwhile, the real killers, Deputy Sheriff Joe Rollins and his gang, decide to frame Bob for the crime, and upon his arrival he is thrown into jail. Rollins plots to lynch Bob but is forestalled by a dance hall girl. Betty, apprised of Rollins' plot, helps Bob to escape. Later, Rollins kidnaps Betty, and while Bob fights to rescue his sweetheart, the crooked deputy is killed by a stray bullet from one of his gang. Bob is cleared of the crime and becomes both the new deputy and Betty's husband.

Tom Gier (Tom Mix) tries to recover his stolen horses from rustlers and while trailing them he saves Edna Barton (Dorothy Dwan) from the gang and then ends up saving her from a fast moving river while breaking up the gang.

An outlaw gang leader loses his prize horse that he has used to out-run many a posse. Realizing he needs his trusty steed to steal $50,000 being shipped to the local bank, he forces Roy to find his horse in a hurry.

A lawman, his dog and his trusty white stallion fight a gang of outlaws.

John Drury arrives in town and is taken on as a hero by the townspeople after he saves a horse's life. They ask him to lead them in their fight against the mysterious Hawk who has been plaguing them for years with theft, arson and murder.

Be forewarned that "Captain (King of Dogs)" and "Dynamite (The Wonder Horse)" are billed above all of the cast except John Preston (who?), which means RCMP Sergeant Bruce Morton (John Preston) is going to spend a lot of time talking to Dynamite (Dynamite the Horse) and Captain (Captain King of Dogs), and the scary thing is they react better than most of the cast. Inspector Dawson (Harry Beery) promises "Morton of the Mounted" a long-awaited vacation as soon as he solves the mystery of who killed an old fur trapper called Old Dan Parker (Fred Parker) and a Mountie named McGee. Morton and his Mountie sidekick Corporal Tiny Anderson (Tiny Skelton) hit the tundra and Morton, or the dog or the horse or all three, save Mildred Boynton (Myrla Bratton) from a tormentor. She says she and her brother, Bill Boynton (James Sheridan) are staying at a nearby lumber camp and she is worried about Bill as he has become friends with a man named Burke (Tom London) who causes Bill to drink too much. And, besides that, Burke is constantly forcing his unwanted attentions upon her. Morton allows as how he'll try to straighten Bill out when it is obvious Burke needs a little talking to himself. Morton has barely arrived when Burke ambushes him, ties him up and forces Bill, dressed as a Mountie, to go rob the lumber camp payroll. Morton, after being rescued by the dual efforts of Captain and Dynamite -- one of them notified the other of Morton's problem -- finally begins to suspect that Burke may be the root of all the problems and takes after him. Bill brings the robbery loot back to Burke, who shows his appreciation by shooting him dead, and Burke takes off. But Morton is not far behind.

Black is after both Taylor's saloon and the Lane ranch. Fuzzy takes the gold from his and Billy's mine and buys Taylor's saloon. This puts him and Billy in conflict with Black and his gang.

Randolph Carter is after Macey's freight franchise. He has his gang raid all of Macey's wagon trains so supplies will not reach town. In his latest raid Macey is killed. His son Steve attempts to take over but finds himself in trouble when he pays off his men with money Rough and Ready accidentally found in Carter's safe.

After being betrayed to the law by one of his henchmen, a bandit leader seeks to avenge himself.

"Tonto" Daily fails as a cowpuncher for Weston, wealthy cattleman, and is demoted to chuck-wagon driver. He falls even lower, in Weston's estimation, when he loses the wagon in a river crossing and imperils the life of Nina, Weston's daughter. Porky and Tex, two worthless cowboys, who aspire to own a pig farm, learn that Daily has inherited a fortune and they beg him to invest in their pig-farm venture. Daily declines. In spite of his bumbling mistakes, Munther, the ranch foreman, and a rustler on the side, keeps Daily around. He assigns him to guard 5,000 longhorn cattle in the Weston stockyards. When he falls asleep, Munther and Joe Gilbert, a suitor for Nina's hand, steal six hundred head of cattle and hide them in a cavern below the Mexico border. Daily flees the situation and invests money in the pig farm, but his heart is still with the cows. Porky and Tex take him to a Mexican border cantina, and they spread the report that their friend is really the notorious outlaw, the Tonto Kid, from "under the Tonto Rim." Nina is also at the cantina, accompanied by Gilbert, and she is thrilled to learn that Daily is a bold, bad man. Gilbert exposes Daily for the meek man he really is and has a bouncer throw him into the street. Nina's sudden scorn changes Daily into a roaring, two-fisted he-man, cleans out the saloon, commandeers a couple of horses, takes Nina prisoner and escapes.

His job: outsourced. His home: commandeered by his couch-potato daughter. But Ed Heller's not losing hope. Inspired by a charismatic street clown, Ed's decided to reinvent himself. With a Polaroid camera slung around his neck and a pony at his side, Ed's going door to door. Will Seattle put out the welcome mat?
