Simple Minds performs in the music video for "Don"t You (Forget About Me)" from the original motion picture soundtrack of The Breakfast Club (1985) recorded for Virgin Records. Lead singer Jim Kerr sings on a dancing floor in a dark room surrounded by a chandelier, a rocking horse, and television sets that are displaying scenes from the film.

John Parr performs in the music video "St. Elmo"s Fire (Man in Motion)" from the original motion picture soundtrack to the film St. Elmo"s Fire (1985) recorded for Atlantic Records. John Parr sings in a run-down and fire-damaged version of the St. Elmo"s Bar set and on a club stage while clips from the film play. The cast from the film later join Parr on the bar set.

He films Sting singing the song in a run-down warehouse and later shows the video to the woman.

REO Speedwagon performs in the second version of the music video "Can"t Fight This Feeling" from the album "Wheels Are Turnin"" recorded for Epic Records. REO Speedwagon perform the song against a black background while video clips show a man go through the cycle of life from infancy to old age.

It features footage of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith at Durdle Door in Dorset, England, and at a studio performance with full band (with Ian Stanley, Manny Elias) performing the song amidst a crowd of family and friends.

Jim Kerr sings the song while the band plays in the pastoral Catskill Mountains in New York State. The band stands near the edge of a water fall and a joined by Robin Clark who sings backup.

Don Henley and his band perform the song in a post-apocalyptic bar. A woman dances ignoring the chaos around her. A solder grabs her and she spits in his face.

The video begins with a news commentator reporting that Night Ranger is missing after taking off in a B-25 Bomber. The band is stranded on a desert island in military uniforms.
