Narrating Amir (P. Ramlee), is a restaurant waiter who aspires to be a songwriter. He has a crush on Aminah (Siput Sarawak), a singer at his workplace.

Musyid, a rich man had four children: Kamal, Azman, Bakhtiar and Tijah. Kamal often spends his time drawing. One day, Kamal meets a nightclub dancer, Leela, and is interested in painting her portrait. Their relationship continued and became more friendly until Kamal decided to marry Leela. Kamal"s father, Mursyid and also Leela"s father did not approve of their relationship. Because love is blind and does not choose appearance or race, Kamal and Leela ran away from their respective families and got married as soon as Leela converted to Islam. They both live happily even in poverty. After a year, Leela gave birth to a child. Kamal also had to become a fish and vegetable seller because of his meager income from painting. One day, Kamal"s younger brother named Tijah came to meet them and delivered the news that their father had died. When the will was read, Kamal did not get a single bit of his father"s inheritance. Jalil, Kamal"s uncle invited Kamal and his family to live with him. Kamal was also given the job of managing Jalil"s company. Kamal"s family"s life became easier. Unexpectedly, the heat that was expected until the evening turned gloomy, because it drizzled in the afternoon. Kamal"s domestic order is threatened when he meets Tinah, a tenant who deals with his uncle Jalil"s company.

Gelora is a story of promiscuity between Rizman, his girlfriend Ruby and Rima (Ruby"s mother).

Dr. Rushdi and his wife Mariana attended a get together held by Rozaiman. As the event was going on Dr. Rushdi received an emergency call from one of his patients. He had to leave his wife behind and attend to his patient. Mariana and Rozaiman gotten to know each other on that night. Since then they had this secret affair every time Dr. Rushdi attended to his patients and has not attended to his wife"s need.

Osman was released after serving a ten-year prison sentence for a murder he did not commit. Two young men, Ali and Hassan had arrested Osman after he was released from prison and were brought to meet their leader, Karim who is also Osman"s brother. Osman was beaten until he passed out and thrown into the river. ASP Azman was assigned to investigate the matter. Faridah, ASP Azman"s wife, came across Osman when she went to the clinic that happened to be treating the injured Osman. Osman suspects that Faridah is actually Hamidah, his girlfriend before being imprisoned. Osman tries to prove that Hamidah is impersonating Faridah, and that everything that happened has something to do with the mafia group led by Karim. ASP Azman also suspected his wife who behaved like she was hiding something after Osman"s presence.

Narrating the friendship between Tahir and Tahirah since childhood. Tahir is the son of a housekeeper, Mariam (R. Suriani Jaafar) while Tahirah is the only daughter of Datuk Mahmud (P. Ramlee). Mahmud with the title Datuk was ordered to serve in the city of Kuala Lumpur.

Between family and fame, this is the dilemma faced by Melati in choosing what is the best and it is not possible to choose both road at the same time. "Dajal Suchi" is a story where we rethink about our self whether a good is good enough.

Yusof"s (P. Ramlee) parents are killed in a massive factory fire. Hashim, the kind and wealthy factory owner, adopts him and regards him as one of his own children, much to the dismay of his wife. (Hashim already has two kids, Fatimah and Osman.) Yusof is well-liked by his foster sister Fatimah (Rokiah) and they grew up to be lovers. The film takes a melodramatic turn when Hashim dies of sickness, and the malevolent foster mother denies Yusof of his inheritance, bars him from further education, and treats him as a domestic slave. What"s worse, Yusof is separated from his beloved when Fatimah is sent to the city to study in a college. Yusof is elated when he learns of Fatimah and Osman"s return and picks them up at the train station (Tanjong Pagar Railway Station), only to be rebuffed by his peers and foster brother, and ordered like a servant to carry their luggage. Despite the setbacks, Yusof stays committed to Fatimah. In the film"s final moments when Fatimah is dying, Yusof stays by her deathbed, sings her a last tune (in the guise of P. Ramlee), and cradles her dead body, in enigmatic style, up and across the monumental stairs and vast plains at Bukit Batok Hill.
