After the Fleischer Studios self-destructed as a result of brothers David and Max' bickering, Max retired to Florida to live off his patents while Dave tried his hand at producing for Columbia. Except for a series of Lil Abner cartoons produced under license from Al Capp, his stuff was a series of one-shots, with the same wild humor that he had shown as a director, but a smoother, more polished style.
This is a typical piece of work from him at Columbia: a setup (the dray horse of a window washer wants his lunch, but his boss insists of finishing this bunch of windows -- all of them on a skyscraper). The voicework is good, the gags escalate to provide a good plot arc and the result is a fine little one-shot.
