Prior to founding AVEKA, Willie worked at 3M as the Technical Manager for Particle Processing in 3M's Corporate Research Facility. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in organometallic synthesis. Willie currently serves as the President of the International Fine Particle Institute (IFPRI). He has authored or co-authored over 20 technical papers or book chapters and currently holds over 50 issued or pending US patents. In September 2022, Willie presented the opening plenary lecture at the World Congress in Madrid on Challenges and Opportunities in Particle Processing.
