Tackle the 58km Sunshine Coast Great Walk in Kondalilla National Park and you'll be rewarded with sights such as towering eucalyptus trees, picturesque waterfalls, and warm subtropical rainforest in a tucked away region of the Blackall Range. Though it's traditionally a four day walk, broken up by stays in the bush campsites, day visitors can opt for a shorter half or single day walk along the Great Walk path.

Make sure to take a detour to the Kondalilla Falls - wander along the bushwalking path that begins at the waterfall’s summit and descends 100-metres downhill to a vast grassy picnicking area. Enjoy the scenic walk by Picnic Creek and then swim in a freshwater rock pool, or catch a glimpse of koalas playing freely in their natural habitat. The 300 stairs back up to the car park area can be challenging for visitors with particular access needs or those will less hiking experience, so be sure to plan ahead.
