Playa Flamingo

Castillo de las Coloradas

Jutting from headland at Cape Punta de Aguila, the castle's tower is situated halfway between the town centre and the Papagayo beaches. Its conical shape is formed from basalt rock and its bell tower was an integral part of the defense system of Lanzarote when the island was threatened by pirates on a regular basis. Today visitors enjoy sublime views of Fuerventura from its turret.

Atlantic Museum

This remarkable underwater museum is the brainchild of the British artist, Jason DeCaires Taylor. Sculptures are installed on the sea floor at a depth of 12 metres creating a miniature Atlantis for visitors to explore. The museum is perfect for underwater photography.
