The Udka-pattern Assault Carapace is a Covenant drop pod manufactured by Assembly Forges.[1] The Udka was heavily employed by Sangheili forces of the Covenant for during the Human-Covenant War.
Operational history[edit]
Udka-pattern drop pods played a key role during the final months of the Human-Covenant War. During the Battle for Earth, Sangheili forces of the Fleet of Sacred Consecration used these pods to drop into the city of New Mombasa in the battle's early stages.[2] They were later used in the onset of the Great Schism, being used to deploy separatist forces onto Installation 05[3] and the forces of the Fleet of Retribution into the Flood-infested city of Voi months later.[4]
