The combat support vehicle is a Covenant armored ground transport capable of carrying personnel, ammunition, explosives, medical supplies and liquified carrier gas to recharge plasma weaponry.[1]
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
The combat support vehicle is described as resembling a giant barrel-bodied beetle with a bulbous head. The vehicle also has struts when it is ready to set down and deploy what is inside its cargo compartment. The side doors fold outward along the length of the vehicle like clamshells. Aside from the driver, the cargo compartment is capable of holding twenty infantry personnel.[1]
Operational history[edit]
In the year 2526, during the Human-Covenant War, Blue Team encountered these vehicles on the planet Mesra. The Covenant deployed fifty of these vehicles to carry twenty Yanme'e each in a strike against the UNSC and allied forces.[1]
Production notes[edit]
A vehicle named the "Covenant fuel truck" was originally planned by Max Hoberman and included in his documentation during the production of Halo 2.
